samba3 with openldap dont authenticate users stored in ldap database and dont chages a user password via smbpasswd. administrator password was stored in secrets.tdb via "smbpasswd -w ldap-admin-password"

compile samba3 with LDAP, SAM_OLD_LDAP, POPT and MULTIBYTE
configure a ldap database to store users ( unix & samba )
configure a /usr/local/etc/smb.conf for ldap
store a ldap admin password with smbpasswd -w ldap-admin-password
add a user to ldap database with all attributes required for local & smb account
try to change a user password via smbpasswd user

this will result in:
# smbpasswd user
New SMB password:
Retype new SMB password:
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

samba <= 3.0.4 works ok with this configuration .....
