| Fernan,
|
| its been so long I have forgotten why the port builds the way it does ;-)
| What you suggest seems fine with me.
| I am no longer working in the bioinformatics field and do not have time
| to maintain this port. So if you would like to become maintainer
| I'd be happy. Else I'll send-pr and change it to ports at freebsd which
| is less than ideal.

Tony,

I'll be sending the patches then. I can take maintainership
of the port. It's a pity you're not into bioinformatics
anymore ... I'm now starting to feel alone in the biology
category.

Regarding the installation of the binaries, I will check and
see what others (Linux, other BSDs?) are installing. I
personally just use the blast functionality, but there may
be users relying on the other executables.

Volker, when I've everything ready I'll send a followup to
the original PR, with a copy to you.

Regards,

Fernan
