FreeBSDD skye.ki.iif.hu 4.10-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 4.10-PRERELEASE #7: Thu May 20 13:27:41 CEST 2004 root at skye.ki.iif.hu:/usr/obj/mirror/src/sys/SKYE i386

perl -v
This is perl, v5.8.5 built for i386-freebsd

DBI: p5-DBI-1.42_1
DBD: p5-Mysql-module-1.2219

>Description:

I upgraded the system perl to 5.8.5 and everything seemed to be allright,
except some data retrieval application. It reports:

Had to create \xc8 $\b::imp_data_size unexpectedly at
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/mach/DBI.pm line 1061.

>How-To-Repeat:
Try to install the above environment and try to connect to a mysql database.

>Fix:

Use p5-DBD-mysql. Currently I am using p5-DBD-mysql-2.9003 without problem
and without any change of perl code.
