Ah, perl 5.6.1. This brings up a related question: I have no time to
test mod_perl2 with any perl other than lang/perl5.8 (currently 5.8.2).
There are significant differences in where perl installs files (e.g.,
the error you see), among other things. Plus 5.8.2 is the current stable
release, while 5.6.1 is outdated.
I'd therefore like to restrict this port to www/perl5.8. Please also
commit the attached patch against the r11 Makefile.
