System: FreeBSD skye.ki.iif.hu 4.8-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 4.8-PRERELEASE #0: Tue Feb 25 13:06:52 CET 2003 root at skye.ki.iif.hu:/usr/obj/mirror/src/sys/SKYE i386

The sysutils/msyslog port uses old deprecated unix socket
for logging. The new FreeBSD standard is /var/run/log .
	while msysutils still uses /dev/log.
Try to start syslogd of msyslogd.

Error is reported on startup of syslogd of msyslog:
Aug 4 13:43:10 csoki.ki.iif.hu don't use _PATH_UNIX: Jan 0 00:00:00 syslogd: cannot create /dev/log: Operation not supported

try to log via logger. No log will appear...

The DEFAULT_LOGGER in src/modules/im_unix.c should be updated
	to /var/run/log
