Hello,

finally it is my pleasure to announce that pf is part of the FreeBSD base
system. It can be installed by the usual buildworld/mergmaster/installworld
dance (see src/Makefile). As tcpdump/libpcap are under a vendor branch in
FreeBSD (obtained from tcpdump.org) tcpdump will currently choke on pflog0
and pflogd will also have troubles. The vendor update is in progress and
will happen soon. If you want to play with it _now_ build pflogd and tcpdump
from the 2.03 tarfile.

This means that FreeBSD 5.3 (the anticipated start of the 5-STABLE branch)
will come with pf support.

Thank you for your support and prolonged feedback and of course thanks to
Daniel and all developers at OpenBSD for creating it in the first place!
