Is the patch-gtkfix still needed with 2.4?

I am still running 2.3 and am considering the upgrade to 2.4.  
I think a lot of the patches that have been reported on the 
list have been committed (I think).  I don't think the patch-gtkfix 
was committed or was even going to be committed or still needed with
2.4.
