There is no SAL| DESKTOP in my env.

env SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen libreoffice works fine and produces PDF as it should.
env SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kf5 libreoffice doesn't, but then again my libreoffice
was build with kf5=off.
