Question about libreoffice

Hi:

I recently upgraded my workstation from 10.3 --> 11.3. I hit an issue with
libreoffice that I think should be changed. I was going to submit a PR but if I
am missing something, or this is something antithetical to the project, why
bother, so I am just posing it as a question.

I first installed the package. That uninstalled the version of MySQL I had
installed, server and client replacing it with the MySQL default client. Because
Oracle often adds changes between versions that effects applications I run, this
is not acceptable to me. Taken as a general principal I think having an office
suite dictate what database software that must be used is wrong.

So I starting compiling libreoffice. After seeing there was no option to select
the MySQL version, I did a bit of research and found how to edit the Makefile to
accomplish my goal.

What I think should be changed is: (1) the package should either accept the
MySQL it finds or, at least put up a 'this package will be replaced' message.
And, (2) The option to pick the MySQL version should be added to the options
presented to the user.

Thank you for your time. There is no need to reply to this, it will happen or
not. I am pinging you all because I could not elicit a response from questions.

Doug
