It seems to depend on the spreadsheet document. It works on newly created
files.
Attached is an .xls on which the menu entry 'Format Cells...' (e.g. on cell A1)
immediately causes an internal error (screenshot attached).

It doesn't generate a stack trace or core dump but goes into its recovery mode.
