LibreOffice printing with CUPS and lpd(8)

The patch shown in http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=167441 
lets me print to FreeBSD's lpd(8).

Could someone who uses CUPS see if that patch causes any regressions? 
It would be great to get the patch integrated into the port.
