Hi F,

First off, all technical questions should be asked on
freebsd-questions. I'll try to help as much as possible, while
staying within the charter for this list, which means that I'm
constrained to linking to official doc.s and shouldn't offer
advice or answers.

If you need help installing X from sysinstall, there is a section
here:
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/install-post.html

Assuming you know that and set up X during install, that
same page mentions using 'startx' to start X.

If you wish to boot into a graphical environment, several
options are available, see:
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/x-xdm.html
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/x11-wm.html#X11-WM-KDE-KDM

GDM may be another option, but I can't find official doc.s
on that.

If you run (t)csh, you might consider adding a command
to ~/.login as described in 'man csh'.

Regards,
Clayton
