kde an freebsd

Guten Tag freebsd-newbies freebsd-newbies,

hi folks,

i am rather new to unix. i installed freebsd and it works fine. but, i
dont get the kde deskotop running :-( trying to konfigure the x-server
fails in a frozen system.

so, well. i konfigure the x-server. then i apply the changes and next:
nothing happens. when i reset thee system an run the server then, with
kde. it works, somehow. but i do not think this is right..?

maybe someone can help?
