Problem printing with CUPS

Try to go to the meta port of cups in the ports tree and do a make
install clean

# cd /usr/ports/print/cups
# make install clean

I had the same problem when I installed samba and it installed cups but
not the whole thing.
So going to /usr/ports/print/cups and do a make install clean it
worked.

Good luck

Onderwerp: Problem printing with CUPS

I am having problems setting up CUPS. I managed to get the daemon to
recognize the Brother HL-1240 hooked up via USB, but I can't get any
output. It seems to poll the printer every 10 seconds or so (you can
hear
it start up), but nothing ever comes out. I can see jobs in the queue
when
I go to localhost:631, but it won't let me kill any of them. It says
client-error-forbidden.

I am using FreeBSD 5.1 with whatever version of CUPS is currently in the

ports collection.
