If it is a regular text file, you can use any editor, the most common ones being vi(m) or pico
try 'man vi' or 'man pico'
As for Fat32 support, have you tried doing 'mount -t msdos /dev/slice /mount/point'?
Or maybe 'mount_msdosfs /dev/slice /mount/point'?
