Understanding netstat -ibnhW

In the FreeBSD forum post below, I explain having difficulty reading the
output of netstat -ibnhW. In short, I am trying to determine the network
usage from a network interface, but the one interface is listed once for
each subnet on the NIC.

There does not seem to be much guidance on how to read this output either
in the netstat(1) manpage or in the FreeBSD handbook.

Anyone think this warrants a doc update?
