Which em(4) chips work/don't work? [Was: RE: dummynet, em driver, device polling issues :-((]

My troublesome card is a
     device   = '82545GM Gigabit Ethernet Controller'

But I am not sure if it is of any use compiling such a list, because the 
various hardware platforms and network requirements on which people test their 
cards are very different.
