Yes, this is currently, unfortunately, expected. You need a build environment
where no portaudio is installed. Then portaudio2 is pulled in as a dependency
and the build succeeds.
If you have ports installed which depend on the old portaudio, you can't have
them next to each other as of now, sorry.
