http://wiki.debian.org/XStrikeForce/HowToRandR12 :
Section "Device" Identifier "ATI Technologies, Inc. M22
[Radeon Mobility M300]" Driver "ati" BusID
"PCI:1:0:0" Option "AccelMethod" "EXA" Option
"Monitor-DVI-0" "External DVI" Option "Monitor-LVDS"
"Integrated LCD" # no need to specific Monitor-VGA-0, it uses the
"VGA-0" identifier automaticallyEndSection
In the above sample xorg.conf file , BusID needs to be written correctly .
I do not know if "Option" line can accept device name directly or not like
the following sample for mouse :
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
where you may specify device for monitor as USB connected device .
In your laptop , if there is an external VGA connection port , by using a
"VGA to HDMI converter" adapter , connection of TV should be easy :

Thank you very much .
