I just found out, that there is a strong correlation between ATA DMA mode and a
failure to refill the ring buffer (so that cxm_read() doesnt return, which
looks like a stall)...

When I use ata mode PIO4 everything works fine (but the CPU is very busy with
disk transfer things)... :-)

Is it possible, that the cxm driver makes something wrong with its DMA
transfers?
