Hello,
I can commit that with this version of 10th of January the Intel HDA
chip is now working; it took me some time (and thanks for the helping hand
of Dev) to understand that I have to set with
# /usr/local/lib/oss/bin/ossmix codec2.connector.orange.mute OFF
to get any output at all and lower the volume from 64:64 to 33:33
with
# /usr/local/lib/oss/bin/ossmix codec2.center/lfe.vol 33:33
that my neighbor in the street are not calling for policy for
the high volume of output :-))
in the KDE sound control I had to set /dev/dsp1 as output device
and now KDE is playing the normal sound notifications if a window
appears or disappears on the desktop and so on;
not working until now is playing something real with KDE's KsCD, maybe
something in the mixer settings below is still missing; is there
somehow a documentation about the details if all the colors and
other names in the mixer? maybe I'm stupid and the question is even more
stupid, but I don't have much multimedia experience...
Thx
matthias
