[solved] Re: snd_solo broken after big MFC to RELENG_6

For the archives:

I've exchanged some private mails with Ariff, and here is the current status:

This patch "makes the sound work" with snd_solo(4) on RELENG_6
  http://people.freebsd.org/~ariff/test/solo.c.diff
but still no vchans.

If you want vchans, you'll need to replace sys/dev/sound/pcm/sound.c with the
following one:
  http://people.freebsd.org/~ariff/test/sound.c

He is also working on a GAINT-free version of the driver (in fact, there
is one at http://people.freebsd.org/~ariff/test/solo.c, but it
gives me a panic when I try to play a song or even if I try to unload
the module).

And now, please another round of applause for our sound hero...! :-)
