Errors burning DL DVD+R

I'm running FreeBSD 6.2 prerelease and I've followed the steps at 
http://networking.ringofsaturn.com/Unix/FreeBSD-Burning.php to get my 
Lite-On DVD burner working. And it works beautifully for regular DVD+R 
and RW discs, but I am unable to burn dual-layer discs. They fail 
immediately after splitting the layers with "Resource temporarily 
unavailable" (error attached in burnerror.txt)

I've also attached the output of dvd+rw-mediainfo. Is there a step I'm 
missing on getting dual-layer discs to work?
