I began just doing that, for I restored nov 26 kernel, and problem still 
persists. I'm recompiling amarok without xine support (that's another change 
that happened recently) but then I don't understand xmms crashing. Anyway, it 
seems it is not recent releng 6 changes or anything, sorry for the noise.
