Joystick support FreeBSD 5

Hi list,

I would like to get my joypad (Gravis Gamepad Pro) working under
FreeBSD-5.2.1-RELEASE using the joystick connector of my PCI sound card. I came
across this post:

but the diffs are for 4.x and don't apply to FreeBSD 5.x.

Is it possible to get this working under FreeBSD 5.x?
