linux-flashplugin6 woes

Hi all,

I am trying to get www/linuxpluginwrapper and www/linux-flashplugin6
running with a native Mozilla (Firebird) on 5.1-RELEASE. I followed the
instrutions such as described in:

<http://www.packetwatch.net/documents/papers/flash6.txt>

(echo "WITH_LIBMAP=YES" >> /etc/make.conf; add support for rtld-elf;
install devel/linuxthreads, www/linuxpluginwrapper and
www/linux-flashplugin6; edit /etc/libmap.conf; reboot).

After that, neither Mozilla 1.5 nor Mozilla Firebird will start:

Fatal IO error 78 (Function not implemented) on X server :0.0.

If I remove /etc/libmap.conf(*), Firebird will run as usual, with the
usual error:

LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library
/usr/local/lib/linux-flashplugin6/libflashplayer.so
[Shared object "libpthread.so.0" not found]

libz.so.1                       libz.so.2
libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3        liblstdc++.so.4
libm.so.6                       libm.so.2
libc.so.6                       pluginwrapper/flash6.so

What did I get wrong?

TIA,
