FileSystemWatcher broke after upgrading to Mono 3.6.0

I was testing my program under FreeBSD 10, Mono 3.4.0 and everything was 
working great.

When I upgraded to 3.6.0, the FileSystemWatcher quit working. No 
exceptions, it just stopped firing events (Created, Changed...).

Being new to FreeBSD, I don't have a clue where to start looking. Anyone 
else experiencing this or have a workaround?
