It looks like my apm never really work. If I load neither acpi nor apm on my X31, the backlight turns off when pressing Fn-F3 and Fn-F4, the USB does not die when resuming, and can even enter hibernation when pressing Fn-F12. There is definitely bios assisted hibernation in X31. -- Leland Wang
