Firewire/USB HDD question

I'd be willing to go out and buy some random USB HDD and help out with 
testing/developing the drivers-- I'd need a current list of what's 
currently (fully) supported to do this so I can find something that may 
not be. I'd probably go get any random 1.1/2.0 drive
