Wierd X issue.

I had the same. It was missing a keyboard extension file somewhere. I don't 
recall the exact filename though. I fixed it by reinstalling XFreee4-libs if 
I recall correctly. I did get hinted about the filename so you might want to 
doublecheck your logs for it.
