Java Communication API for FreeBSD Input Stream Problem

AFAICT,  rxtx  is  incompatible with  Sun's  Comm  API.
Please ensure that the latter is not in your classpath.

Have  you  been  able  to run  the  SimpleRead  program
located in Rxtx's contrib directory?
