FreeBSD deister2.amp.uni-hannover.de 5.2.1-RELEASE-p9 FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE-p9 #0: Thu Aug 5 17:26:49 CEST 2004 root at deister2.amp.uni-hannover.de:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/DEISTER i386
>Description:
jdk14 does not compile (using recent ports from yesterday). It stops with a NoClassDefFoundError. This can be found in different places reported by other users, too, e.g. here:
http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-java/2004-February/001738.html
I found out what triggers this behaviour: It is the setting of WRKDIRPREFIX=/usr/tmp in /etc/make.conf (or probably any other path). Removing this entry and thus using the default location in /usr/ports/java/jdk14/work works just fine.
>How-To-Repeat:
Use a different workdir as explained above and try to compile.
>Fix:
Workaround: use the standard workdir.
