panic: JVMXE102: sigaltstack with linux-ibm-jdk13

I recently upgraded to 5.1_RELEASE. I installed linux-ibm-jdk13 (jdk 
1.3.1_05) through the ports collection. Installation appears to go well 
as I receive no errors or warnings. After installation completes I run 
the command java -version to make sure that everything is OK with the 
VM. I receive the following error

panic: JVMXE102: sigaltstack

After a few seconds I have a core dump of about 500 MB.
