You probably want to install linux-sun-jdk1.4.1 first.

jdk14 should install /usr/local/jdk1.4.1, _not_ linux-sun_jdk1.4.x
jdk14 _requires_ linux-sun-jdk14 to be installed, at least for the first
build (then you can use NATIVE_BOOTSTRAP).
