Offlist, someone said I was dreaming.  He thought I looking for an app
to do all this.

We don't expect to find an app to do that.  What we expect to find is
an app that
can inventory.  :)  Map ports. etc.

The 'boot and forget' part is something we'd build, and hook it into
the inventory system.
