You can use LTO-4 (more expensive) or LTO-3.

It's working like any SCSI device by using tar command.

You got with LTO-4 800Go on one tape without any comprress. And if you put
only mail the compressing working very well and you can put all your file
on one tape.

The speed is very good. On Linux server (but this change nothing) with
LTO-3 we god 30 Mo/s
