disk error / failure: need help! (smart failure predicted)

Hi !

There is another method :)
Make the target partitions that have the same size and the same partition
letters of the source partiotions by /stand/sysinstall
Mount the target disk to /mountpoint
And use cp -Rp / /mountpoint

I use this method :) It is easier :)
