Do you see memory allocation errors in netstat -m?

Specifically this line:

0/0/0 requests for mbufs denied (mbufs/clusters/mbuf+clusters)

If so, it may be that the IPoIB layer has an mbuf leak.  The rest of netstat -
m might be useful here as you can see if any of the zones are full.
