yes, I thought this might be related to the new loader.
In this case it should be possible to install an older
release/snapshot, with the older loader (how old?
7-stable? 8-stable?) and then update via svn, right?

Are the modules included in the -release iso image?
So I can just load them from the loader prompt?

Sure I do. I'm installing from a CD image.
I'm not sure I can take the CD out before
the boot is complete, can I?
Maybe when
Hit [Enter] to boot immediately, or any other key for command prompt.
prompt appears? Or does the boot process still
involves copying from the CD at this point?
