Hello,
today I tried installing FreeBSD 7.0 Release on Montecito.
Kernel boots now, I can select an terminal and then it starts
"/stand/sysinstall".

But a shortwhile after output "Probing devices, please wait ..."
I always get the following message output:
init died (signal 0, exit 1)

panic: Going nowhere without my init!
cpuid = 2
KDB: enter: panic
[thread pid 1 tid 100001 ]
Stopped at      kdb_enter+0x81: [F1]    nop.f 0x0

Following is the bt output:

I tried booting bootonly, disc1 and livefs just to make sure there is
something wrong with the disc.

A google-search yielded no answer whether others have this issue, too!

@Marcel:
Do you have the same problem?
If no, what did/do you change to boot to a console?

If I can provide further output or debug-information, don't hesitate to ask!

Regards,
Marc
