about i386 mbr

Hi dear all,

I have some experience in Linux but a completely newbie in FreeBSD .

I'm reading FreeBSD source code recently and have difficult to find the reference to the sys/boot/i386/mbr/mbr component , for example , I can find that release/i386/make-memstick.sh use the pmbr component.

My question is , does kernel use this component ? If it does , which script will reference it ?
