When replacing the MTA if you disable sendmail to rc.conf file after adding the lines:

sendmail_enable="NO"
sendmail_submit_enable="NO"
sendmail_outbound_enable="NO"
sendmail_msp_queue_enable="NO"

lost all network connections to any local port IP4, but if you go locally as root and execute the command ping any IP network, all connections are restored
