I am fairly new to Freebsd  my concerns are that my sound does not work in kde 3.5 ( I have not upgraded to 4.1 yet if that solves my problem please let me know). I also have a problem with Gnome on x11 when I type "startgnome" It does not pop up neither that or recognizes it.. is there another option for me 
I already downloaded everything from sysinstall also I have a problem with the ports and getting them to do downloads.
