When i try to erase (or blank) a 700MB cdrw, burncd gets stock and in dmesg there is a message: "acd0: FAILURE - READ_CAPACITY ILLEGAL REQUEST asc=0x27 ascq=0x00". I had the same problem in FreeBSD 5.5 Release, 6.1 Release. Now on 6.2 Prelease too. But when i want to erase small eg. 185 cdrw it work's fine, except it never ends. I have <LITE-ON LTR-16102B/OS0E> at ata1-master UDMA33. With burning CDs i have no problems.

Burn something on 700mb cdrw and then try to erase it with burncd erase.
