 ihave configured Xorg succesfully ablack and grey grid and an X mouse cursor appeared then after testing the X server with "Xorg -config /root/xorg.conf.new"
Then told the X server to launch it by editting the .xinitrc file:
# echo "exec startkde" > ~/.xinitrc
also edited the Xsession file in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xsession
and invoked the X window system with startx 
my monitor turned black and showed this
message :
Out of frequency
VH 89.9 KHz
VF 60.0 Hz
Operating Frequency
HF 30-71 KHz
VF 50-160 Hz
Power Management 20 sec
and the monitor automatically turned off after 20 seconds
I have set the correct values for :
Horizsync and the VertRef  in my Xorg configuration file
please help to solve this problem
