  If possible reply to all. I am having problems installing FreeBSD on my
laptop. It is a Toshiba A45-S151with a Pentium 4,  2.8 Ghz processor, 512Mb
memory.
I am not sure of my device settings. I do know that the PCI bus uses IRQ's
15 and 16.
During the installation (verbose logging)when its detecting software it
freezes after it displays the following:

Pcib0: <acpi pci bus> on pcib0
Pcib0: Device is hardwired to IRQ 16
Found> vendor = 0x8086, DEV=0x3582, REVID= 0x02
Bus=0, SLOT=2, Func=0,
class=30-00-00, hdrtype=0x00, mfdev=1
cmdreg=0x0007, statreg=0x0090, casheinsz=0 (dwords)
lattimer=0x00 (0ns), mingnt=0x00 (0ns), maxlat=0x00 (0ns)
intpin=a, IRQ=16
Powerspec 1 supports DO D1 D3 current D0
mapio: type3, range 32, base 00000000, size27 memory disabled

f   (freezes here)

During the normal installation it displays the following

pci0: <ACPI PCI bus> on PCIb0  (then freezes).

With ACPI disabled it diplays
pci0: <ACPI PCI bus> on PCIb0
pci_cfgintr: 0:2 INTA Bios IRQ 10
I have seen similar problems with other models of Toshiba laptops but no
solutions.
Any help will be appreciated.
Kevin
