>Description:
i have been experiencing this strange behaviour after upgrade from freebsd 4.x to freebsd 5.0 (and now with 5
.1). when i use a nylon socks proxy (havent tested it with any other, frequently-opening network connections software
), the machine hangs, that is - no activity at all - programs on that machine stop working, the tcp/ip stack as well.
the strange thing is that after pressing any key on the keyboard, the machine continues running - including freezed
programs and tcp/ip. i thought it might have been machine problem but i moved the disks to another machine and the pr
oblem is still there. i also thought it might have been a ACPI problem, but neither of the machines (both old pentium
mmxes) supports it.
>How-To-Repeat:
run nylon socks proxy, use it to connect to multiple machines, wait for hang. then - press any key on the key
board
