root password recovery

Hi Guys,

I'm getting the following when I try and sudo su - into my FreeBSD 5.1 box:-

/usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libintl.so.4" not found

I've forgotten the root password and am thus buggered!

Can anyone point me in the right direction of either recovering/resetting 
the root password (console or through bash) or fixing the above error?
