switching radiation from wireless card off

Hello,

when I don't use a PCMCIA wireless card I can simply plug it off the
laptop. Then I know that there is no radiation from this card.

What about a PCI wireless card. Is it sufficient to

- ifconfig ath0 down
- switch powersavemode on

in order to stop radiation from a PCI wireless card?
