Orb Drives in FreeBSD

is anyone using an ORB drive in FreeBSD

mines a 'usb' model. which is actually a usb->scsi converter
then a scsi orb drive.

plug it in, mount use filesystem, unount all work. but as soon
as i unplug from the usb (with unmounted FS) kernel panic etc

freebsd 5.2.1.

granted however, it doesnt play nice on any computer ive
used it on. windows and macosx.
